Mañana

We have a ride for tomorrow, part biking, part hiking. Here is the projected topo map. This is going to be sweet. No fossil fuels (well, other than our food, of course) for a day in the mountains and some ranch work to boot! We'll be closing the gate in the mouth of Snow Creek canyon, which will mean riding up past the Upper Ranch (the site of my family's first homestead in this area) and then leaving our bikes where Snow Creek meets Leonard Creek, then hiking farther up the canyon, up to the cliffs and back down to our bikes past Kapelli's Spring and the burned Snow Creek Flat. I'm so stoked to get out. Only one bike ride this week, and that with the mountain bike in the alkali.
