Magic Day—Shark Valley

My iPhoto library has finally grown out of control and I pruned the whole thing and am starting from scratch. It has given me the chance to go back through some great times, like this amazing day riding from our apartment in Miami Beach that seems particularly fun to revisit given the lingering cold and wind here. If you want to see more pictures from this day, visit my Flickr set!

Surly ready to go from our apartment in Miami Beach
Traffic on the causeway.
What am I doing on the wrong side of the road? Waiting at the drawbridge.

Rode by the Orange Bowl in process of destruction.

Tamiami Trail out of town.

Surly resting during lunch before Renee joined me.
With Renee in Shark Valley, we arrived after the park was offiically closed and had the path to ourselves.
Amazing to have the place to ourselves.

All smiles.
Amazing views.
Shark Valley oberservation tower all to ourselves?

Nope, our company, a giant alligator and tortoise swimming on left side of the frame. Also the ravens who stole Renee's bike glove!
More alligator on the way home.

Starting to lose our light as we make it back to the Tamiami Trail.

What an amazing day, great company and seeing Everglades N.P. without hundreds of other tourists.
