Ocean washing Chillida's Comb of the Wind. I love how the sculpture grows from rocks, but favorite part were the blowholes built into the sidewalk.

When waves hit they would push funnels of air up strong enough to ruffle hair and spit spray, and fascinate cute dogs and photographers alike. By then I was all revved up to have pintxos and txakoli at the restaurant by the sculpture (and among my favorite and not too bad prices either) and storm the funicular up Mt. Igueldo. I love riding them, sitting at front or back and watching mountainsides recede and approach with the passing car on the other side with always that little bit of wonder (hmmm, oh, cable snap) how fast you could make it down. Walked through amusement park on a gray and mostly empty day. I'm pretty sure Casa del Terror attendant wasn't masturbating when I walked by, but some shadows for sure. I really wanted to ride the little boats though, almost did, and definitely would have if I'd had some company ;-) Then into the Torre and just a couple of euros enough to conquer the castle . . .
