2013: Year of the Snowshoe?

With the snow around Christmas, so far 2013 has been all about the snowshoes. Before the new year even hit, we went on a short snowshoe up Thomas Creek, then on January 1, Renee and I went up Ophir Creek on the south side of Slide Mountain, and this past Sunday we snowshoed up Castle Peak. After no snowshoeing last winter due to the well basically nonexistent snow, it has been really fun to get out and play in the snow. And hopefully it will continue this weekend. The other thing 2013 has been about are the new iPhone lenses that Renee got me for Christmas, check out the fisheye effect on some of the photos below, there is also a maco/wide angle that will pop up a little, but mainly I've been playing with the fisheye as I love how it can give the effect of the enormousness of the landscape that we inhabit.

I don't think Renee has any idea what a giant snowball is perched above her!
