On a recent Monday, I decided to play hookie from work. After casting about for fun things to do on a rare rainy day in Reno, I decided to go up to Tahoe Meadows, which would be a nice easy hike that Dusty could go along on. The overcast made it great for exploring, and we abandoned the trail and explored in the canyons east of the meadow and toward Slide Mountain.
Finally the rain clouds that had been gathering all around us all day threatened to lower on the meadow, along with some thunder, but we made it back before the rain started to fall.
Sometimes it is so nice to wander aimlessly, and with the mind open even places as familiar as Tahoe Meadows can become new again.
