Nero at the Ranch, or, Friends on the Range

Nero helping work cows

I have always, in some part of my brain, felt that I have friends, and then I have friends who have been to the ranch. I'm not saying I'm not as good of friends with those who have never been to the ranch, but I do feel like those who haven't made the trip out there are missing some living part of me. As it were, Nero, one of the sweeter pups there is, is a great friend in both senses of the word and I sure will miss him when he moves to Colorado.

By the way, other pics from this trip were posted in my post "The Meadow."

A rare moment of rest.

Nero is always an ambassador of goodwill

Definitely a dog party

Short walk up the canyon

And of course we had to visit Casper (foreground), who is enjoying life with the goats (he's the boss of the herd)

Evening walk to the pond

Pooped out in the Big House after dinner.
